Air Fryer Chicken Tenders

Who doesn't love chicken tenders with your favorite dipping sauce?! Super simple and easy for parties, and weeknight dinners- and nutritious as these use minimal oil and whole wheat panko. These can also be a meal prep item- my daughter loves them for lunch, and they are also tasty on reheat for salads and wraps, or on their own for quick lunches. The air fryer just makes this so easy and quick to get crispy tenders- plus keeps the oil and fat to a minimum - win/win!

I used chicken breast that was already pre-cut into tenders, but you can easily cut chicken breast into tenders, and get about 3-4 per chicken breast.

Bread the Chicken Tenders:

  • Make a mixture of whole wheat panko and garlic salt and a bit of pepper to taste. A little parmesan cheese, lemon pepper, or italian seasoning, would also be great!

  • Whisk 2 eggs in a bowl - I think egg whites would work as well, but I haven't tried it.

  • Dip the chicken tenders first into the egg, then the panko mix, making sure to fully coat all over. Set on a tray.

Spray the breaded tenders on both sides with just a bit of spray avocado or olive oil, on each side.

Heat up your Air Fryer and set to air fry at 400 degrees, when ready add the chicken tenders in a single layer and cook for about 6 minutes on each side.

Serve with your favorite dipping sauces and sides.
